Developing an Impact Report for a national LGBTIQ+ peer support service

QLife is a national LGBTIQ+ peer support and referral service, offering free, anonymous support. QLife’s vision is that every LGBTIQ+SB person feels connected and valued, no exceptions.

We partnered with QLife to develop its first-ever Impact Report to communicate the scale of the service and the depth of its impact.

Case Study

Our Approach:

We worked with LGBTIQ+ Health Australia and QLife’s national delivery partners to synthesise insights and present QLife’s impact clearly, accurately, and with care.

  • We worked to develop a shared understanding of

what impact looks like - not only in numbers, but in

    connection, affirmation, and hope.

  • We crafted a compelling narrative of impact for both

    LGBTIQ+ communities and policy makers.

  • We were committed to highlighting the diversity of

QLife service users and their reasons for reaching out.

The Outcome:

The Impact Report we delivered presented a rich picture, centring the voices of callers, peer supporters, and partners. It also outlined future directions for growth and accountability to LGBTIQ+ communities.

Our Reflection:

For us, this work wasn’t just a reporting exercise. It was an opportunity to explore how QLife’s model created change - through affirming, identity-aware support - and to inform future policy, practice, and funding directions. We were proud to help make that happen!

“The team at The Centre for Impact & Change just got it. They brought everyone together, made space for all the voices, and helped us tell our story in a way that was honest, clear, and full of care.”
